Neelakkurinji is a shrub growing in the western Ghats in Kerala . They characteristically blossom once in twelve years. These are shrubs that abundantly grow in these mountainous region. When they blossom, they leave these hills with a magical blue carpet cover!
These flowers were seen last in 1994.
If you want to watch this limited edition natural flower show, You have to go to Munnar which is the confluence of the three mountain river systems - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani ,Kundala. Situated at 1600m above the sea level this hill station, leaves you with a cold summer sweetness.
