Time is moving. I often wonder how fast it moves!
We all started blogging few years ago, to the maximum. But see how quick the days, months and years are moving!
I can remember when I have started a blog and at the same time did not know what to write!
Now the times have gone and we all moved very far!
Like all of you, me too have met many friends through this amazing medium!
Thanks to the blogosphere!
The friends I met through this medium are very important in my life as they provide me the vitality to sustain in this virtual and the real world!
I thank all of them.
Thank you my dear friends and wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year.
So this is Xmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Xmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Xmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Xmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Xmas
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so happy Xmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over now
Sir Cliff Richard OBE, born Harry Rodger Webb; 14 October 1940; Lucknow, India, is an English singer.
With his backing group The Shadows, he dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s, before and during the The Beatles' first year in the charts. A conversion to Christianity and subsequent softening of his music led to his having more of a pop than rock image. Although never able to achieve the same impact in the United States as in Britain (in spite of several chart hits there), Richard has remained a popular music, film, and television personality in the UK and also retains a following in several other countries.
During the last six decades, Cliff Richard has charted many hit singles, and holds the record (along with Elvis Presley) as the only act to make the UK singles charts in all of its active decades (1950s–2000s). According to his website, he has sold 250 million records over the course of his career.[1]. In the British charts alone, Richard has had more than 150 singles, albums and EPs make the top 20[2].
This is his wonderful Christmas song
The child is a king, the carollers sing,
The old has passed, theres a new beginning.
Dreams of santa, dreams of snow,
Fingers numb, faces aglow.
Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see
A time for living, a time for believing
A time for trusting, not deceiving,
Love and laughter and joy ever after,
Ours for the taking, just follow the master.
Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see
A time for giving, a time for getting,
A time for forgiving and for forgetting.
Christmas is love, christmas is peace,
A time for hating and fighting to cease.
Christmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time to rejoice in the good that we see
Velu tagged me again. This time he is asking me to get into a time machine! The machine will take me to the past, more precisely to my childhood!
Well, that is a very interesting thing to do! Like anyone else, I would love to travel to my past, straight to my childhood!
He asked me to write the good and the bad. After a very long time when I go back to unearth those memories.. it makes me feel very sad!
Things I loved the most
I grew up in a village near Kollam. All my education was in the local Malayalam medium schools.
I really enjoyed those days. We had to walk for a long distance, about 2 to 3 kilometers everyday to reach the school.
After the school, we used to play games. Badminton, volleyball and so on. Sometimes we reach home very late after playing!
I was also a fan of birds and animals. We would explore the entire village looking for the birds and their nests etc. We would climb all the trees and there won't be any tree left out without us climbing on the top of it!
One day I fell from a cashew tree in the morning and when I woke up, it was evening! I was alone that day at home and my Mother and brothers went somewhere else and they left me home because I had a flu!
I used to go for fishing and swimming in the local lake and used to get severe punishment from my Mother for doing so! But I learned swimming in the end!
Sad things
My Dad died when I was 6 years old.
That was a huge blow in my life. We used to cry everyday for years.
All my birds and animals I kept at home as pets, eventually died. That used to make me cry.
Still I feel very bad about it. I should'nt have done that.
Some of my childhood friends died unexpectedly.
I had some bad feelings..
for my breakfast!
I ate it like a toast!
With my tears..
I made a cup of coffee!
My sugar was
out of stock, but
I ground my anger
and put it in my coffee..
It tasted very sad..!
